1/26/10:
It was a tough way to end the season, as the boys fell to Viera 2-1 in the District Semi-final match at Melbourne High School on Monday night. The Pirates lone goal was socred by Senior Ryan Freeman, just minutes into the second half to tie the score at 1-1. Viera managed what proved to be the game winning goal late in the second half. Senior goalkeeper Alex Gil recorded 8 saves on the night.

1/20/10:
It was a second half to remember on Tuesday night, as the Pirates broke a 2-2 halftime tie by scoring six unanswered goals in the second half to end the game 8-2. Junior Jesse Bathelt exploded for a hat trick (finishing the match with three goals and two assists). Junior Tyler Falcao scored twice, while Eric Grand, and seniors Yhanic and Johann Braithwaite also found the net.
Other players with assists were Johnny Matias (2), Johann Braithwaite, and Eric Grand. Senior goalkeeper Alex Gil recorded 6 saves. The Pirates head into the post-season with momentum, and will face Viera in a rematch of the exciting 5-4 battle during the regular season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Monday, January 25th.

1/19/10:
In Friday night action, the Pirates fell to a strong Satellite team by a score of 3-1. Palm Bay went into the half with a 1-0 lead when Sophomore defender Aaron Jordan connected with Senior Wildency Zamor, who scored his fourth goal of the season. The Scorpions came out of the half with a vengance, scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Senior goalkeeper Alex Gil recorded a career high 15 saves.
The Pirates end the regular season tonight (Tuesday) as they travel to face Cocoa Beach.

1/12/10:
The Pirates fell at home to a strong Space Coast team on Friday night by a score of 4-0. Palm Bay looked good for most of the match, but fell behind by three goals in the early going. Senior goalkeepers Billy Dietz and Alex Gil each had four saves.
The boys will finish the remainder of the season on the road, as they travel to Eau Gallie tomorrow (Wednesday) and Satellite on Friday. Kickoff times are set for 5:30 (JV) and 7:00 (Varsity).

1/7/10:
The Pirates started off the new year with a 3-1 win Wednesday night, as they traveled to Edgewood on a night with freezing temperatures. Palm Bay started the scoring in the first half when Junior Jesse Bathelt scored his team leading 12th goal of the season on a free kick. Bathelt also added an assist in the second half.
Seniors Ryan Freeman and Johann Braithwaite also scored in the second half. Senior goalkeeper Alex Gil recorded 5 saves. The next game will be Friday night (Senior Night). Kickoff times are set for 5:30 p.m. (JV) and 7:00 p.m. (Varsity).
