November 21th:
Palm Bay (down 8 players from their original roster) dropped to 1-3 on the season with a home loss vs. Melbourne. The Bulldogs scored two goals in the 1st half, then added another in the 2nd for a 3-0 final. The Pirates hope to end their struggles at home as they play host to Edgewood on Monday night (@ Palm Bay Regional Park).
November 18th:
The Pirates exploded offensively on Wednesday, scoring 7 goals on the road, as they beat host Astronaut 7-4. Palm Bay fell behind 2-0 early, but then scored 5 goals in a twenty minute stretch to end the first half. Senior Danny Berrios led the scoring charge with his first career hat trick, scoring three goals while also adding an assist. Senior Tyler Falcao also had a career night, scoring twice and also adding two assists. Senior Jamie Fox and Freshman Michael Brennan also scored goals, and senior Blake Doyle also had an assist.
November 15th:
Palm Bay had a rough opening week at home, falling to Satellite 3-0 on Friday night. The Pirates dominated play early, but were deflated when the Scorpions scored on a counter attack with less than a minute remaining in the first half. Satellite managed two more second half goals to secure the victory. The Pirates return back to action on Wed. (11/17) @ Astronaut, then play host to district rival Melbourne on Fri. (11/19) at Palm Bay Regional Park.
November 11th:
The Pirates opened the season with a hard fought loss on Wednesday night, falling to the Eau Gallie Commodores by a score of 1-0. Both teams had opportunities, but Eau Gallie was able to convert late in the first half on a corner kick. Palm Bay's defense looked dominant throughout the night, and Senior goalkeeper Mike Chavez recorded 4 saves. The Pirates return to action on Friday night as they take on visiting Satellite. Game times are set for 5:30 p.m. (JV) and 7:00 p.m. (Varsity).
