11/30/07:

Palm Bay struggled to get anything going in their 0-5 loss to district rival Melbourne on Thursday night. The Bulldogs set the tone early with 4 goals in a 15 minute span in the 1st half. Melbourne added another goal early in the 2nd half. The loss drops the Pirates record to 3-3-1 (0-2 in district play). The Pirates take to the road again Friday to face another tough district opponent in Eau Gallie.

11/28/07:

The boys began their 6 game road trip with a 2-2 tie @ Satellite on Tuesday night. After a scoreless first half, the Scorpions struck first in the opening two minutes of the 2nd half. The Pirates equalized the game shortly thereafter on Junior Tom Fowler's amazing goal on a free kick from 40+ yards out. Palm Bay then took the lead on Johann Braithwaite's rebound goal. The final score of the match came with less than 10 minutes remaining when Satellite scored on a corner kick. The Pirates face rival Melbourne on Thursday night @ Melbourne High School.

11/21/07:

The Pirates had another quality outing at home Tuesday night vs. Viera with a 5-0 victory. Palm Bay opened the game looking sluggish but turned it around in the second half when the poured in all 5 goals. Senior Calixto Lopez added his second hat-trick in as many years vs. the Hawks. Freshman Edgar Roque started the scoring early in the second half and Sophomore Johann Braithwaite nailed home his first goal of the season on an incredible bicycle kick. Senior goalkeeper Rob Loyst had 6 saves, giving him his second shutout of the season. The Pirates return to action after the holiday on Tues. 11/27, as they begin a road trip with a match @ Satellite.

11/16/07:

The injury laden Pirates dropped their district opener at home on Thursday night to Vero Beach by a score of 1-0. Vero Beach scored midway through the second half on a rebound that appeared to hit the football crossbar. No call was made, thus proved costly to the Pirates, who dropped to 2-2 on the season and 0-1 in district play. The Palm Bay defense had yet another steller performance, and was anchored all night by the excellent play of goalkeeper Rob Loyst (7 saves). The Pirates are home again next Tuesday 11/20 and host the Viera Hawks.

11/14/07:

The Pirates continued their excellent play this season with a 3-1 victory over Edgewood in Merritt Island on Tuesday night. The Pirates struck first only five minutes into the match when Senior midfielder David Shapiro's pass found Senior Calixto Lopez who buried the ball in the net on a nice left footed finish. Edgewood scored late in the first half to tie the score. The second half was all Palm Bay as Lopez scored once again and was followed up by a goal from Senior defender David Smart's header sent by Freshman striker Edgar Roque on a corner kick. Senior Austin Jordan and Junior Thomas Fowler led the Pirates in another strong defensive performance. Senior goalkeeper Rob Loyst added 7 saves in the victory.

11/9/07:

The Pirates rebounded from their opening night loss to beat Space Coast 1-0 in the home opener. The game was a defensive battle, which was eventually broke open with 10 minutes remaining in the match when Strikers Edgar Roque and Calixto Lopez linked up once again for the game's only goal. Roque's pass split the defense and Lopez beat the keeper with a brilliant left footed touch. The Pirate defense set the tone in lieu to Senior goalkeeper Rob Loyst's (9 saves) first shutout of the season. The Pirates return to action next Tuesday as they head north to face the Edgewood Indians.

11/7/07:

The Pirates fell to Cocoa Beach in their 2007 season opener on Tuesday night to Cocoa Beach by a score of 2-1. Freshman striker Edgar Roque scored on an excellent pass by Senior Calixto Lopez with less than 10 minutes in the match to even the score at 1-1. Cocoa Beach managed another goal in the final 2 minutes of the game. Senior goalkeeper Rob Loyst added 11 saves during the game.

11/4/07:

The Pirates looked strong in their Preseason debut as they handled Rockledge and Titusville on Saturday! The Pirates open the regular season on Tuesday night @ Cocoa Beach. Kickoff times are 5:30 p.m. for JV & 7:00 p.m. for Varsity
